South Lake Park

South Lake Park is a 14-acre community park located off of 87th Street near Downtown Overland Park. South Lake features a .42-mile loop trail with several fitness stations as well as a fishing pond with two docks, so don’t forget to bring your fishing license if you want to cast a line! Shoot some hoops at one of two basketball half-courts. South Lake is a great place to gather for outdoor picnics and parties, with multiple picnic tables, charcoal grills and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Basketball courts and shelters are first come, first serve.
