Therapeutic Touch and Play

An opportunity to learn how to therapeutically touch your baby & play in a manner that promotes healthy bonding & brain development.This class will cover not only why it is important to intentionally touch your baby everyday but how to do so in a manner that will therapeutically benefit your baby's overall development. Taught by a pediatric physical therapist, you will learn different positions and movements to incorporate into your baby's playtime, including various tummy time positions so important for healthy development. Parents, grandparents & loved ones are welcome to join too! This class is most appropriate for the pre-crawling infant.

MaterialsIt is suggested that you bring a baby blanket and yoga mat for the baby's comfort and warmth, and a familiar toy from home. Suggested that mamas bring their baby gear to class including blankets, diapers, etc.
Prerequisites****Cost is "per family"******Clinical evidence shows that loving, touching nurturing contact between caregiver and infant has a positive impact upon subsequent development.Refer also to Pediatric CPR, First Aid.
